Judson Beaumont : Straight Line Designs Inc is a one-of-a-kind workshop that has been operating out of Vancouver, British Columbia for the past 27 years. In addition to installations, sculptures and private commissions, designer Judson Beaumont and his staff have designed and constructed a variety of custom-built furniture and projects for public institutions and children’s exhibitions throughout North America and abroad. Judson incorporates a sense of uniqueness to his designs, proving that anything is possible, and that ideas are limitless.
Judson is reknown for his whimsical style. With this variation titled “Vern”, he took a piece which typically spends its life indoors, standing around, and gave him a day off. Vern’s adventures around Vancouver took him sightseeing at the Lions Gate bridge, to busking on Commercial Drive. Judson stretches to a new limit of imagination with this design and has found a kindred soul in the latest recruit Vern.

Jason Mecier's Star Studded Trashy Tribute to Joan Rivers!

Pop artist Jason Mecier, just revealed his latest portrait made entirely out of trash inspired by the one and only legendary Joan Rivers! Believe it or not, many of the items were donated to the artist from other celebrities and female comedians! Highlights include Phillis Diller's anti-itch creams, a bandaid and two Disney coloring books from Rosie O'Donnell, Margaret Cho's rolling papers, Amy Schumer's tea bags, Sarah Silverman's Gefilte Fish, and Kathy Griffin's Monistat 7... (Allegedly!) Other funny ladies' contributions include Amy Sedaris' pompon's and a pipe cleaner, Parker Posey's purple yarn, Ricki Lake's Dr Scholl's blister treatment, Kathy Najimy's antacid, and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark's make-up remover and hair spray! Drag superstar Jackie Beat's "Susan Lucci" pump insole can be spotted alongside Botox pamphlets, Fixodent, Metamucill, and Justin Bieber trading cards. And don't even ask how much it is... the fabulous Margaret Cho already owns it!
"I've wanted to do a Joan Rivers portrait for years now. I'm so honored all of these amazing women have donated their junk to me over the years to create their own portraits. Obviously I had to save all the leftovers... and I finally figured out what to do with it! I think they would all be happy about it." Jason Mecier

David Patchen - Recent Creations

David Patchen, "Recently I've been creating a great deal of murrine (patterned rods) with random threads of color over white for a pointillist pattern not knowing exactly how I wanted to use them, but confident that whatever I do, the final work would look really interesting."
"So after spending many hours over a couple of weeks creating the murrine and having my assistant carefully cut these rods into many hundreds of tiles, I planned to make a very large piece that would incorporate literally thousands of threads of colors."
Andrew Myers - Current Projects

Andrew Myers: Hi Guys,
We've had an exciting and busy 2014.
Here are a few new pieces we would like to share with you.
We have completed three new drawings of the "LIFE 101" series. (Prints are available).
The second piece is a Converse shoe that we created out of screws for the new 'Jack Purcell' campaign.
We also developed a new series with screws titled "Close Ups".
They measure 12"x12" and are available as commissions as well.
As always, thank you for your support.
